Offline Bible Study Software
Everything in Vellum, every translation, commentary, dictionary entry, and cross-reference, is stored on your machine after install. There's no login, no cloud sync, and no connection needed to open it, ever.
Version 1.14.0 · Portable or installer · ~275 MB · Free forever
Why that matters for study prep
- Sermon prep on a plane, at a cabin, anywhere without signal: the whole library ships inside the install, not fetched from a server.
- No account, so no password to lose access behind: open it and it works, on day one or year five.
- A portable build that runs from a USB drive: carry your study setup between a home computer and a church office without installing anything twice.
- Nothing phones home: there's no cloud sync because there's no account for it to sync to.
- Narrated audio downloads once, then works offline: the human-read chapters, recorded for LibriVox, come down once per set of chapters and stay on your computer after that. Everything else never needed a connection to begin with.
- Print or export offline too: every pane prints on its own, and notes export straight to Word or PDF without needing a connection.
